Ellen Degeneres celebrated Earth Day today in a big way with valuable giveaways for audience members and a special performance by American Idol’s Jason Castro. The show was an exciting Earth Day surprise for fans and viewers.

Jason Castro was part of Ellen’s Earth Day celebration. The dreadlocked fourth place finisher from season seven of American Idol performed That’s What I’m Here For from his self-titled debut album. The performance was fantastic and highly anticipated by Castro’s legion of fans. All-in-all Ellen’s eco-friendly celebration was a fun and entertaining tribute to the 40th anniversary of Earth Day.
